Behavior Expectations
Scholars are expected to show respect to all adults and their peers. The following are rules in our class. It would be wonderful if you would reinforce these at home.
Follow all procedures and stay in assigned areas. Follow directions the first time given. Talk at appropriate times. Raise your hand before you speak. Stay on task. |
Behavior Rewards and Consequences
The teachers in our school will be handing out red tickets to whole classrooms, for positive behavior. Students will earn a special prize when enough are earned. Blue tickets will be given to individual scholars found doing the right thing. These tickets go into a special office box and pulled out on Fridays. Two are selected for grades K-2. Student alerts can be issued. Three student alerts will equal an office referral and a Gold Level Activity may be taken from the scholar. I use Class Dojo. This is an app you can put on your phone that will send you information. It tells of positive behavior and behavior that needs improvement. I also use this as a device for reminders and other information. You may also contact me on it. This will be the quickest way to contact me as I look at this more than I do email. Please do not send me absence excuse notes on Class Dojo, as I cannot transmit this to the office. Please send a written note or an email to Debbie Payton in the office. [email protected] |
